Sun Microsystems contacted CAWC Waterproofing & Restoration and Allana, Buick, and Bers, an exterior envelope consultant, to renovate the exterior skin of the twelve buildings that comprise their Menlo Park campus. They wanted to protect these structures from possible water damage that might result in more costly repairs down the line.

To provide a durable, weather-resistent shield, we used Dow Corning silicone technology.The windows were all wet-glazed. Preformed 123 silicone tape was used to seal all the metal-to-metal joints, and Allguard Elastomeric Coating was applied to the EIFS surfaces, creating a complete monolithic elastomeric seal. The result was a complete structural protective coating designed to keep the destructive elements at bay.
